Ethics and Reconciliation Council

In 2019, Mountain Stream’s Board of Directors voted to establish an Ethics and Reconciliation Council (EAR). The purpose of this council is to foster an environment of responsibility and integrity in the community, to provide ethical guidance and a venue for reconciliation when there is conflict.

The Board was inspired by the actions of teachers from Spirit Rock, Insight Meditation Society, and Gaia House, who, in 1990, agreed to a common ethics and reconciliation procedure and a teacher code of ethics. As Mountain Stream continues to grow, this new council is not only appropriate, but very much needed.
