Caring for the Community

Retreat Health Policy & Requirements
Our first priority is to protect the health of everyone who comes to Mountain Stream retreats,  including practitioners, staff, and teachers. We follow county, state, and federal (CDC) COVID-19 guidelines that are currently in place, along with additional significant safety protocols.

We are implementing changes to keep everyone as safe as possible given the evolving nature of Covid. As vaccines no longer reliably prevent mild disease or transmission of Covid, we want everyone to test before you come, and bring proof of negative testing when you arrive.

The Mountain Stream Covid policy now requires everyone who attends a residential retreat to provide a negative Covid test result, preferably from a PCR test, taken less than 72 hours before the retreat, or if PCR is not accessible, two rapid home tests, the first taken the day before the retreat, and the second taken the day of the retreat, with 24-36 hours between the two tests. Those using home tests should take time-stamped photos of both test results. This proof of negative test results must be presented before entering Harmony Ridge Lodge for your retreat.

In addition, teachers, staff and retreatants are required to be fully Covid vaccinated, including a booster, to be completed at least two weeks before the retreat begins.

Everyone is welcome to wear a mask during the retreat, at any time.

Since John Travis has been diagnosed with lymphoma this past year and undergone chemotherapy treatments as well as multiple surgeries, we will be monitoring him carefully and possibly making changes to our retreat schedule, if need be.

To insure everyone’s safety, we ask that you wear an N95 mask during travel, especially while in planes and other public spaces, regardless of federal rules, and that you are really careful during the entire week before the retreat. If you have any COVID symptoms please do not come on retreat and contact us right away.

We will also require anyone who develops any COVID like symptoms or becomes sick at the retreat to leave and return home immediately, to protect the health of the other yogis and teacher. If someone gets sick or needs to be quarantined we are not able to take care of you at our venue (Harmony Ridge Lodge). Please keep that in mind and have a backup plan if you’re traveling from a distance.

These policies are subject to change as conditions change. Our commitment is to offer this retreat, as safely as possible. We will continue to revisit our safety guidelines as the pandemic shifts.
