Daylong Description: How do we move from simply seeing the world to creating meaning from it? Inspired by the Madhupiṇḍika (Honey Cake) Sutta, this contemplative workshop explores how perception, imagination, and relationship shape our experience of the living Earth. Through meditation, close observation, natural inks and clay, process-based art, and reflective writing, participants will engage in creative practices that deepen sensory awareness, cultivate presence, and reveal the interconnected nature of mind, body, and the more-than-human world.

No art experience needed. No technique required. Only a willingness to notice, explore, and engage. Art supplies and lunch included.

What to bring:

• Layers & sun hat — we'll be spending some time outside, so dress for the weather

• Comfortable clothing for light movement and shoes that are easy to slip on and off

• A journal/pen and any snacks you'd like (we'll be providing tea and lunch!)

Ameera Godwin is a multimedia artist, arts educator, and Buddhist practitioner, working with people to build connections with nature using art practice, meditative observations and deep listening.

Lakshmi Prasad is a dedicated student and practitioner of the Buddhadharma, exploring how spiritual practice can support healing and collective action to build a world of greater wellbeing and equity.
