Ajahn Nisabho - Refining Gold: Spiritual Alchemy & the Luminous Heart
Join us for a special evening with Ajahn Nisabho, a bhikkhu in the Thai Forest lineage and co-founder of Clear Mountain Monastery in Seattle. Though he will be joining us via Zoom, our sangha will gather together in the meditation hall for shared presence, practice, and community.

Ajahn Nisabho’s teachings are known for their clarity, groundedness, and heartfelt encouragement along the path of freedom. In this talk—Refining Gold: Spiritual Alchemy & the Luminous Heart—he will guide us in meditation and offer reflections on how the challenges of our lives and practice become the very material through which the heart is polished, brightened, and liberated.

Bio: After finishing college in 2012, Ajahn Nisabho left his native Washington to go forth as a Buddhist monk in Thailand. He received full ordination the following spring under Ajahn Anan, a senior disciple of renowned meditation master, Ajahn Chah, and spent the following years training in forest monasteries around the world with contemporary masters such as Ajahn Anan, Ajahn Pasanno, and Ajahn Jayasaro. Over these years, he came to believe the tradition represented a faithful embodiment of the original Buddhist path able to yield great fruit even amidst the complexities of modern life. In the summer of 2021, he returned to Seattle to plant the first seeds of Clear Mountain Monastery.
