Join us for a peer-led meditation and community sharing circle focused on the wisdom of Green Tara - a transformative practice that is central to Tibetan Buddhist traditions.  In a monthly group setting, we will meditate on the supportive energy of Green Tara and the divine feminine, and learn how to access Tara’s loving presence in times of turmoil through visualization and mantra.

Circle Format (Future circles will have a different format.)

  • Setting our intention and motivation

  • Introduction to Tibetan Buddhist Vajrayana Practice

  • Guided Green Tara Practice and Meditation

  • Transmission and Instruction for the Green Tara Practice

  • Sharing

  • Metta and Dedications

Green Tara is revered as the Great Wisdom Mother and Remover of Obstacles, offering support in both practical and spiritual matters. Together, we will explore the rich symbolism of the Brief Green Tara practice from the Shangpa Kagyu tradition, authorized by Lama Palden Drolma, founder of Sukhasiddhi Foundation - a female-led sangha whose lineage traces back to 11th-century female gurus, Niguma and Sukhasiddhi.

This circle will be the foundational practice for the study of the 21 Taras and their unique qualities in Spring of 2027.

*** You must receive the transmission during the September Circle to engage in this practice and attend future circles. If you cannot come in September, reach out to Lauren (Lauren@mtstream.org) to arrange a time to receive it.***

Open to all practitioners.
