Daylong Description: This experiential retreat will offer several different avenues of practice, inviting us to work with body, speech, and mind while deepening our connection with the Mother Earth. Khenpo will guide us through gentle Tibetan movement yoga practices, helping us become more present and connected with our bodies. We will explore shamatha and vipassana meditation, learning ways to settle our busy “squirrel minds” and cultivate greater awareness, clarity, and inner peace. We will also practice walking meditation with and without chanting, bringing mindfulness into movement while engaging the power of speech and sacred sound.
During quieter periods of the day, we will have time for personal reflection on interdependence—our connection with one another, all living beings, and Mother Earth.
Khenpo has a profound respect for nature, and this retreat will offer an opportunity to experience Dharma practice not only on the meditation cushion, but through movement, sound, silence, contemplation, and our relationship with the earth beneath our feet.
Each part of the day will open a different doorway into practice, offering tools that can support us in cultivating greater presence, compassion, wisdom, and peace in our everyday lives.
