Dennis Warren: The Two Dimensions of Reality. How Do We Live Anchored in Both?
The Historical Buddha taught the value of living and practicing in family and community. He also taught that every being in every family and community is ultimately not only impermanent, but devoid of any lasting self. How do we resolve these seemingly contradictory or paradoxical teachings. This evening will help us understand how these teachings can that help us life a rich, ethical life and, at the same time, liberated us from the punishing, self-inflicted suffering of separation and self.
