Mary Helen Fein: The Third Foundation of Mindfulness, Mindfulness of the Mind.
The Four Foundations of Mindfulness is a very fundamental Buddhist teaching.  This is the third part of a series that Maeve Hassett and I are teaching to explore these essential Buddhist teachings from different perspectives. 
The Four Foundations of Mindfulness include: 1. Mindfulness of Form (the body) 2. Mindfulness of Feelings (pleasant, unpleasant & neutral) 3. Mindfulness of Mind (Mental Formations) 4. Mindfulness of the the Dhammas (categories of experiences) that include the Five Hindrances, the Six Sense Spheres and the Seven Factors of Awakening.
