Dearest Sangha ~

A beloved guest teacher, Gil Fronsdal, recently spoke about a culture of generosity, a circle of giving. In that circle, the dharma flows from teacher to student, through the sangha and beyond, a living, breathing stream that we follow to our greater contentment, awakening and joy.

In turn, we bring our attention, deep commitment and dedication to practice. We also offer our time, our skills and our resources that the dharma may continue to flow. We are the stewards; we enter the circle of giving as we can with what we have to offer, using our heart-mind to guide us. 

As practitioners, we take refuge in our Village Temple and in the Three Jewels -- the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha. Guided by our teacher, Adam Stonebreaker, Mountain Stream offers many pathways into these living teachings: Eco-Dharma for those whose hearts are inspired by nature; beginning and advanced courses in meditation and Dharma study; Recovery Dharma for those walking the path of healing from addiction; community outreach through meals for the unhoused at Hospitality House; and joyful opportunities to gather in practice and friendship with fellow Sangha members.

Since opening our temple doors in 2013, Mountain Stream’s teachers, dedicated volunteers, and small staff have provided the foundation that keeps the wheel of Dharma turning in our community. The primary source of our funding comes from the ongoing generosity of you, our donors. Your 2025 year-end contribution makes Mountain Stream possible -- sustaining our programs, teachers, community outreach, scholarships, operations, and the care of our beautiful temple.
